Front-end (JavaScript) developer

Necessary skills

  • Excellent working knowledge of modern (ES2015) JavaScript - able to write well-organised code using libraries such as React and Redux

  • Experience developing websites and forms that can interact with JSON APIs

  • Comfortable writing HTML and CSS

  • Passion for building interfaces and experiences that are simple and delightful to use

  • Able to work collaboratively using git

Nice-to-haves

  • Any experience working on Ruby on Rails projects could be helpful but not essential

Beyond technical wizardry, we are, of course, looking for friendly, smart, practical, collaborative, can-do people who are good company, not daunted by complexity, and enjoy working on things that matter.

About the role

The role will initially be a short-term (3-6 months) engagement on a full-time, part-time or flexible basis, with potential for a longer term role depending on your skills, fit and enthusiasm.

Being London-based is not essential, but we're looking for somebody who can attend a meeting or workshop at least once a month.
